All full-time students attending post-secondary institutions or the University of Malta who open a Banif Campus Current Account by the end of October 2010 in order to deposit their stipend will get a free gift. Students can choose from one of the following free gifts, namely a free mobile phone or internet key from Vodafone, or a free voucher from Nike, New Look, Sun Lab, Tip Top, Urban Culture, Urban Jungle, Urban Sports, or VIP.
“Banif Bank is extending this offer to all students and not limiting it only to first year students. However, students should not just settle for the gifts. Throughout their student life they need more than just a one-time freebie. They need a bank that can help them manage their finances, save that extra money that they may earn and offers them some financial flexibility. Banif Bank has designed a package aimed to give the students all this,” commented a representative from Banif Bank’s Product Strategy Unit.
The Banif Campus Package offers premium interest rates on the Banif Campus Current Account; a bonus interest rate on the Banif Campus Flexi Term Account; free direct credit of stipend into the Banif Campus Current Account; free Banif Visa Debit Card that gives access to funds anywhere in the world and can also be used for online shopping; free Banif@st Internet Banking; free standing orders when transferring funds to another Banif account and preferential rates on foreign exchange up to the equivalent of €1,200.
“Students who are 18 years and over can also benefit from a fee free Banif Visa Classic Credit Card with a credit limit of €1,000. This credit card also includes free travel and purchase protection insurances, together with up to 51 days interest-free credit to leave that little extra cash in their pocket. Moreover, students will be awarded 1 free Vodafone SMS with every €5 spent when using their Banif credit card,” continued the Banif Bank representative.
The Banif students’ package also includes a personal loan of up to €10,000 to finance a multitude of purchases, from upgrading your computer to buying a car. Students who take up a Banif Campus Express Credit will be entitled to a moratorium on the repayment of capital of up to 5 years depending on the duration of the course; preferential interest rates; and waiving of processing fees. Specific loan packages are also available for students under the age of 18 years and part-time students reading for a degree who have their direct credit of salary deposited into a Banif account.
