Classic Card

With a Classic Credit Card from Banif Bank, I can pay for my everyday purchases without the need to carry cheques or cash. Cash advances can be made from any Visa supported network, both locally and abroad. To apply for a Classic Credit Card, I have to be at least 18 years of age.

Key benefits

The Classic Credit Card gives me some fantastic benefits. I can enjoy a minimum credit limit of €1,000 on my personal card whilst choosing my own repayment options. In addition I can benefit from:

  • free travel insurance

I am entitled to a complimentary travel insurance that gives me comprehensive protection while travelling abroad. The policy covers me for medical and hospital expenses, loss or damage to personal items, travel delays, cancellation of travel and legal liability.

To benefit from this cover, all I need to do is to purchase my travel arrangement using my Classic Credit Card. The travel insurance covers me, my spouse or my partner (if cohabiting for more than 6 months) and my children (up to the age of 18 or 23 if still in full time education). The policy is issued by Certain Underwriters at Lloyds and claims are handled locally by JATCO Insurance Brokers on telephone number 00356 2132 4875. To download the claim form, click here

  • free purchase protection insurance

I can also benefit from a complimentary Purchase Protection Insurance, which provides me with protection against loss, theft or damage for a wide range of personal goods purchased using my Classic Credit Card from Banif Bank.

I am automatically covered for 90 days from date of purchase for items purchased with my Classic Credit Card both in Malta, Gozo and abroad. Claims have to be made within 45 days from the date of loss or damage.

Being a Classic Credit Card holder, I can enjoy special discounts on Atlas Insurance Health schemes.

I can benefit from a 5% discount on the normal subscription rates for private healthcare insurance if I pay the premium by using my Classic Credit Card.

Health insurance makes it affordable to receive treatment as a private patient so I can:

    • avoid waiting lists;
    • cut down on the time it takes me to get better;
    • choose where to receive treatment;
    • choose who provides the treatment;
    • benefit from being treated in private facilities with a private room.

I can choose the plan which suits me best from the International Plan, the Private Hospital Plan and the Private Clinic Plan. For further information please visit www.atlas.com.mt

Furthermore, through JATCO Insurance Brokers I can benefit from a reduction of 5% on annual premiums for Home, Motor and Travel Insurance policies. All I have to do is pay the premium with my Classic Credit Card upon sign-up and renewals thereafter.
